Part Eleven;
Health Changes

     With all the work I have taken on, I have gotten physically stretched and strained. I haven’t had much stamina for many years, but of course it’s always frustrating to be unable to work full days at a normal pace. Daniel as usual is amazingly healthy, and for that I’m very grateful (as is he). However, my sleep has improved radically since being here, and also my health is improving as well. I attribute that to several new things.

Herbs
     When we were RV’ing here in 2007, I was still struggling with chronic, bone-weary, debilitating fatigue I’d had since the shingles episode. I picked up a local alternative magazine “Awareness” and found an article on healing chronic fatigue by local LA Doctor Aleksander Strande. I consulted with him and he prescribed very concentrated herbs for me to take. In two weeks, my chronic fatigue was done! Details about that are in my second Travelogue from 2007. I continue to use the herbs to build up my immune system and my adrenals, as well as help me detox.

Radiation
     Cell phones don’t work up here on top of the mountain and there are no cell towers in visual range. This means a lot less microwave stimulation. I’m grateful, because in our last place in Hollywood, we could see the cell towers from my desk window and my immune system was always crashing. No more blood pressure crashes with dizziness and headaches either. And we also had electrical filters (Graham-Stetzer filters) installed around the house. They “smooth” the electricity so that it’s steady, making the atmosphere in this house calm. I’m sure my nerves are definitely less agitated and appreciate the harmony! Daniel’s sure have – he feels distinctly better since we had them put in.

Exercise
     We have been taking walks up and down the mountain, in the beautiful natural areas. We have gotten our bodies back into shape! After flat Florida, hiking up and down mountains is a real workout.

Deep Soak Colonics
     The series of deep soak colonics we’ve been having is phenomenally impactful. If you’ve ever had a colonic, you know that it’s like an enema, just more. Water is put into the colon until it fills up and triggers peristalsis, dumping the contents and cleaning out toxicity that way. A deep soak colonic, on the other hand, resembles a regular colonic only superficially. The equipment looks similar. But water goes in and even when the colon is dumping, more water is going in. This drenches the body and enables the body to hydrate and release more than a regular colonic.

     But there’s more. The intention with doing the deep soaks is not to just clean the colon, or large intestine, but to also clean the small intestines, which can get filled up with hardened, impacted, nasty stuff that never usually comes out. This can require many colonics. The one who recommended this to us, Richard, had cleared all the way up to his stomach, becoming totally clean. He had 91 colonics in a row over a three month period!

     The colon therapist, Luis, is the only one who does this on the west coast. He also is the only one in the country to also attach a camera, microscope and screen to the colonic hydrotherapy machine. That means that as Daniel and I lie there on the table, we can actually see what is coming out of us! Now the first time I saw this, I was totally grossed out, like you probably are right now just reading about this! Luis pointed out parasites, candida, worms, mucous strings, and more. Yuck! Eventually, it became kind of morbidly fascinating.

     But after a few colonics, both of us began feeling better. Daniel’s brain began functioning better and my skin cleared up. All the blotchy red coloring disappeared from my skin and it’s now lighter than it’s been since I can remember. I had a few small skin cancers and they disappeared right away, too. Food allergies and environmental reactions began to be insignificant. I could tell that I was absorbing more nutrition. One of the strange side effects of this is that even when we sweat, we don’t have body odor. The skin smells fresher, like it did when I was younger. Amazing!

     Luis thinks we may be more than halfway through clearing out the small intestines, and with each colonic, we get more stuff out (where the heck is all of this coming from???) and keep improving. So we will continue as long as it takes to work back up to the stomach. There’s 60 plus years of gunk that would otherwise never get cleared out. After all, Richard raved about how it gave him his youth, his life, his energy, his health, and a normal weight back. That’s for us!
